Congratulations to the Bobcats of the Week at Hempstead Middle School
Congratulations to Maria Torres, Adriana Lopez, Antonio Castanon, Abdel Saucedo, Daniel Diaz, Megan Grennon, Gabriella Sugay-Garcia, Collin Mayes, Silvia Herrera Peinado, Johnny Lozano, Juan Sanchez, Tatum Hudgens, and Kaylee Hudgens for being recognized as “Bobcats of the Week” for the month of November.
In an effort to promote positive behavior across the district, Hempstead Middle School has implemented the “Bobcat of the Week” program.
Hempstead Middle School teachers are recognizing students who exhibit traits of a scholar as model students. Not only does a scholar attend school, but they have the desire to learn as much as they can from their teacher.
The criteria to be considered as a Bobcat of the Week include: academic performance (class participation and doing your best), character (being honest, respectful and responsible), behavior (well mannered and obeys the rules), effort (working hard and being persistent), social relationship (displays leadership, willingness to help peers), and attendance (good attendance and no tardies).
Winners for the week are announced each Monday morning and are presented with a special Bobcat of the Week certificate and a green SWAG (Students Who Achieve Goals) t-shirt.
