Pattison community trains to open its own disaster shelter
Sunday April 29 fourteen Pattison area residents were trained by the Red Cross on the particulars of opening a shelter in times of disaster. The community training will allow the City of Pattison to open its own shelter. This will allow residents to stay in a local shelter instead of being transported a distance away from their homes as during past disasters such as Hurricane Harvey.
