Holding On To Anger

“Holding on to anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.” No one was given credit for this important statement. It popped up on the internet. It is very, very true. Anger is like drinking poison; it slowly kills from the inside. It kills joy; it kills relationships; it kills families. It destroys futures.

Doctors will also tell you that anger can may you more susceptible to illness and be a factor in early death. Anger can trigger strokes and heart attacks. “Attitude is everything”, is written across my baseball cap. It is an old hat and the statement is still true too.

In June, 2017, I described anger as the greatest destructive force. Years earlier I wrote of the evil twins – anger and ignorance; they always enter the room together.
